Unfortunately, no. The sand has to be compacted and left to settle. If you pour the foundations too close to the edge, the rain will erode the edges and then there will not be enough support for the edges of the foundations which may lead to major cracking through the centre of the slab. Always employ a professional for this part of the job. I wouldn't risk my whole home due to inexperience.
