What's better, public school or homeschooling?

We cannot give you an answer as the answer will depend on you preferences and learning style. I think that the advantages and disadvantages are different for different people. One thing that I'd urge you to look into is if you do decide to go with the online schooling how you'd get to any social activities. Do you drive yet? Is there a way for you to get out of the house and get across town to an activity if your parents are at work from 8 until 6 with a commute? I don't think being home alone all day is a great alternative to the wasted time in school. It's isolating. BUT if you can work out how to go places, it might be a great idea. You'll have to look into it more for yourself.
