How do include subtitles when using ConvertXtoDVD?

I am downloading some Japanese films that have the subtitle files (srt, sub, idx). When using convertxto dvd how do I include the subtitle files? Also, some of the films have both the .sub file and the .idx/.srt What does this mean?
