Time Traveler's Wife book questions about Henry's death?

I am confused about the day Henry was shot. I know he was shot in the meadow, probably by Mark or Clare's dad. But that morning (13 yr old) Clare wakes to see Henry with her Dad and Mark in the Meadow. Wasn't Henry just shot? Wasnt he laying in the field bleeding? The book is not clear, does Clare see another 43 yr old Henry that has shown up after the shot 43 yr old Henry has left back to the future?
